Addressing Transport Inequalities in the Global South focuses on the everyday mobility experiences of low-income urban populations in the global south. It confronts the intersection between poverty and policy through the lived realities of these communities. It will interrogate the impact of transport exclusion, focusing on the role of emerging geopolitical and development frameworks in shaping the mobility choices and accessibility needs of vulnerable populations.

Drawing on seminars convened by INTALInC, we will reframe transport policy and planning discourses using people-centred, action-based methodologies to improve access to life-enhancing opportunities in the urban space. The conference creates a platform for collaboration between policymakers, planners and civil society to stimulate knowledge exchange, practical experience and research findings to shape and promote more inclusive urban mobilities.
